Director's Statement

In 2007 I was in the midst of a fun and fulfilling run as a working producer on a television show in which I was giving away houses to deserving people all over the country. When I was hired, I was offered the largest salary of my then young career that enabled my wife and I and our young son to buy our first home.

Times were good. I felt like I was living the American Dream 101.

The company that had Executive Produced our show always seemed to have endless pockets until suddenly they went bankrupt and before I knew it, September 15th 2008 was a moment that changed my life forever.

For the next several years, my family and I would endure a tumultuous roller coaster the likes I could never imagine. The struggle was immense, tortuous, and there were times that I felt like I wanted to end it all.

I still don't know how we did it, but we struggled through as a family and eventually I was able to put this film together.

While we released it at the beginning of 2014, I've found that the story that we discovered was not only the “Truth” then but remains the story of our times. Possibly the story of forever, and I promise you, nothing has changed.

Approximately 40,000,000 American's were buried in '08. The disparity of wealth in America has reached numbers not seen since the Great Depression. The economy has supposedly bounced, but have you asked yourself for who and why?

Here's the straight skinny. America is not a democracy. Capitalism is a myth. The American Dream is dead! Want to understand how and why and what can be done to turn the USS Titanic around? Please watch this film to find out and please share it with everyone you know.

In closing, you know that kind white haired Senator from Vermont? Well, imagine him putting his finger on it with a resounding chorus of American's echoing the same coast to coast.

If you're sick and tired of lies and distortion, if you're desperately wanting to understand what's going on and what's at stake, please discover what we did while putting this film together.

If we have a snowball's chance to Wake Up the American Dream, we'll have to do it together.

Onward and upward.
